  2. Rotaract Club meeting 27 August at the Local on Baseline Road. They are planning to insult a new member.
  3. Food Bank BBQ. Help out 7 Sept between 10AM and 6PM. Contact David Asp.
  4. District Conference in Grand Prairie. Register online by clicking button below. If you are interested in travelling on a bus with a group of Rotarians call Grace Wagner.
  5. Student Awards night at Salisbury High School 7 Nov.
  6. Oklahoma night at Festival Place 16 Dec.

Announcements
The club needs someone or some people to coordinate a couple of activities.
  1. In September we are planning to focus on member recruiting. Send your ideas to President Bob.
  2. We planning hold a "Wine Survivor" evening as a fundraiser likely in early October. It has the potential to be a fun, social event and generate some funds for the club. Our newest member Steven Lee has volunteered to help Rod Kurylo organize this. Stayed tuned for more information about dates and places.
  3. November is the anniversary of our Charter. We hope to combine this important event with a club Christmas party. Later in the month of November would probably work well.

Last Week's Speaker

Rather than a speaker we inducted another new member. Paul Humphrys was led in by our Director of Membership, Alade. President Bob read the charge and pinned him. Stay tuned because Paul is scheduled to do a classification talk early in September. I will include a photo then.  Bob showed an interesting video that could be used to inspire folks to consider membership in Rotary.

This Week's Speaker

Now that Steven Lee is inducted as a new member he is planning to do his classification talk. Plan to attend Friday and get to know Steven better.
